About US
Our Story: Building Something Beautiful
Wild Coast Flower Preservation was born from love, family, and the powerful combination of Italian work ethic and Cuban ingenuity. Founded in 2020 by husband-and-wife team Michelle and Julio Besu, our company represents a modern American Dream story rooted in immigrant heritage and cross-cultural creativity.
During the pandemic, our family found escape in camping trips where we ventured into the Florida wilderness together, stopping to pick wildflowers along the way. What started as a way to stay connected during uncertain times quickly evolved into something magical. With plenty of time to research and test flower preservation methods, Wild Coast transformed from a home-based flower pressing hobby into a full-scale bouquet preservation service.

Our Heritage: Two Cultures, One Vision
Michelle's Italian immigrant parents instilled the values of hard work and determination, while Julio's Cuban family brought natural creativity and resourcefulness—the ability to craft something wonderful from limited resources, a skill honed through generations of resilience.
Our 8,000 square foot production facility operates like the magical Casita from Disney's Encanto, buzzing with family energy and creativity. The upstairs houses different production departments, while our kitchen keeps the Cuban coffee flowing—someone's always asking "¿Quieres cafecito?" We employ three sets of husband-and-wife teams, many on their own American Dream journeys, creating a workplace that feels like one big, supportive family.

Our Journey
From Hospitality to Handcrafted Memories
Michelle and Julio met in 2013 at Starwood Hotels, where Michelle worked in Meetings & Events and Julio managed convention operations. Our hospitality background taught us the importance of exceptional customer service and attention to detail—values we bring to every preserved flower creation.
When Wild Coast's demand exploded, we made the difficult but exciting decision to leave our hospitality careers behind. We've grown from our home to a 3,000 square foot warehouse to our current showroom facility, literally outgrowing spaces as fast as we could find them.
