Best Wedding Bouquet Keepsakes

You spent months choosing those flowers. The arrangement design, the color scheme and the flower types that fit your personality.  Then the wedding ends, and within a few days the bouquet starts to fade on your kitchen counter.  The good news is that your actual flowers can become something you keep, hold, and use for years now that resin preservation is available. The harder part is deciding what to make!

We have preserved over 20,000 bouquets since 2020, and the question we hear most is not "can you save it" but "what should I turn it into?" This is a rundown of the keepsakes brides love most, what each one is best for, and how to land on the right one for your blooms and your home.

First, the two ways your flowers can be preserved

Almost every keepsake starts as one of two methods, so it helps to know the difference before you pick a product.

Whole flower preservation: your blooms are dried in their full three-dimensional shape and then set inside crystal-clear resin. The flowers keep their depth, so a rose still looks like a rose you could cup in your hand. This is the route for blocks, trays, coasters, and most functional pieces. Pressed flower preservation: your blooms are pressed flat and arranged into framed art. It is flatter and more graphic, beautiful on a wall, and it shows off the colors and the arrangement rather than the dimension. Our pressed flower preservation page walks through the look.

Both use the same UV-resistant, food-safe epoxy resin and the same hand-finishing. The method mostly decides whether your keepsake is dimensional or flat, and that shapes everything below.

The keepsakes brides choose most

1. Whole-flower resin blocks

A block is the classic. Your bouquet, or a chosen portion of it, encased in a clear resin form you can hold and turn in the light. It reads as a sculpture of your actual wedding day.

Best for: the bride who wants the bouquet to stay the centerpiece, displayed on a shelf, mantel, or nightstand. If you loved the arrangement itself and want it front and center, start here. 2. Framed pressed art

Pressed art turns your bouquet into a piece you hang. The flowers are arranged and pressed flat, then sealed in a resin wall mounted floating frame, so the focus lands on color and composition. It suits brides who think in terms of the wall they will see every morning rather than an object on a shelf.

Best for: maximalists with a gallery wall, or anyone who wants a larger statement piece without a large block. It also tends to be the better fit when a bouquet has many small or delicate blooms that look lovely laid out flat. 3. Serving trays

A tray is where keepsake meets everyday use. Your flowers sit under clear resin across the surface, edged with real handles, ready to carry coffee on a Sunday or set out for company. People reach for it, then realize the flowers are from your wedding.

Best for: brides who want the keepsake to live in the rhythm of the home instead of behind glass. 4. Coasters

Coasters spread your bouquet across a small set, each one holding a few blooms or petals. They are the keepsake guests notice at a dinner party, and they put your flowers in daily reach without taking up display space.

Best for: the practical bride, and a lovely way to use the flowers left over after a larger piece is made. A set also splits nicely into gifts for the moms or bridesmaids who carried their own stems. 5. Ring dishes and jewelry dishes

A small dish for your rings at the end of the night, made from the bouquet you held walking down the aisle. It is the keepsake that earns a spot on the bathroom counter or bedside table and gets used every single day.  We have a number of jewelry accessories available to fit your personality.

6. Ornaments

An ornament carries a few of your blooms in a clear form you hang each year. The appeal is the calendar of it: the keepsake comes out every holiday season, so the flowers become part of an annual ritual instead of sitting out year-round.

7. Bookends

Bookends pair weight and function with your flowers, holding a shelf together while putting the blooms at eye level among books you love. They suit a study, an office, or a reading nook, and they give the keepsake a job to do.

Best for: the bride who wants something substantial and a little unexpected, away from the usual shelf piece.

8. Jewelry

Jewelry is the most personal end of the spectrum. Petals or tiny blooms from your bouquet set into a pendant, ring, or pair of earrings you can wear. It is the keepsake that travels with you instead of staying home.

Can't pick just one?

You do not have to. A full bridal bouquet usually holds more than enough flowers for a main piece plus a few smaller ones, and many brides split theirs: a block or tray for the home, coasters or a ring dish from the rest, a pendant to wear. Our preservation bundles are built for exactly that, and they let one bouquet stretch across several keepsakes. A little bouquet goes a long way.

How to choose the right keepsake

If you are still deciding, a few questions usually narrow it down fast.

• Display or daily use? If you want the flowers admired, lean toward a block or framed pressed art. If you want them in your hands, a tray, coasters, or a ring dish.
• Dimensional or flat? Whole-flower pieces keep the rounded shape of your blooms. Pressed art lays them flat for a graphic, wall-ready look.
• One statement or several small pieces? One bouquet can become a single showpiece or a spread of smaller keepsakes through a bundle.
• How is the bouquet built? Big, sculptural blooms like roses and peonies shine in three dimensions. Lots of tiny, delicate flowers often look their best pressed.

If your blooms have faded or browned by the time you reach us, that is not the end of the road. Our color correction service hand-paints each petal back toward the colors of your original bouquet, though it can add some time to the schedule. And if a bloom is lost or damaged beyond saving, bouquet replication lets us recreate it so your finished keepsake looks the way the day did.

What happens once you decide

Whichever keepsake you choose, the path is the same. Your flowers are dried in silica gel for 8 to 12 weeks to hold their shape and color. We send you a design for approval, and that approval is the green light: nothing goes into resin until you have signed off. Then the casting and a careful hand-finish, including a 9-step sanding sequence down to a 2000-grit mirror finish.

One detail we love about this work: because flowers can shift color once they are sealed in resin, even our team does not see the final look until a piece is demolded. We treat it as the grand reveal, and so do you. Start to finish, a keepsake takes about 4 to 5 months, made by our team of 15 artisans in our 8,000 square foot Pompano Beach, Florida studio.

A note on timing

Fresh flowers make the best keepsakes, so we ask that your bouquet ship to us within 5 days of the wedding. The simplest way to protect your spot is to reserve before the day arrives. Our save the date option holds your place on the calendar so the post-wedding rush does not catch you off guard, and we serve brides in all 50 states.
