How We Preserve Your Memories
When you place an order with Wild Coast, your flowers begin a careful, step-by-step preservation journey. Every keepsake is handmade, and your order will move through multiple departments as we transform your flowers into a lasting piece of home decor.
Below is exactly what happens after you order, what to expect at each stage, and how timelines work. Because every bouquet is different and every piece is finished by hand, timelines are always estimates and may shift slightly based on season, order volume, flower type, and the complexity of your pieces.

Dried Flowers
Whole dried flowers work in 3D blocks; pressed dried flowers work for flat items like trays.
Style Selection
Your selection determines if we preserve in a pressed (flat), whole flower (3D) style or a mix.

Step 01
Arrival & Preservation (Drying)
Getting to know your vision
What happens:
- Your flowers arrive, are checked in, labeled, and photographed for internal tracking.
- We begin preservation using methods that best match your flowers and your order (for example: pressing for flat items and drying for 3D items). We may use multiple techniques depending on the flower type.
- This stage is all about preserving and drying the flowers so they can be safely designed and cast in resin.
What you'll hear from us
You will receive an initial confirmation that your flowers are in the preservation process, along with photos of your flowers as they arrived and as we have kept them for preservation (what we call 'from fresh to preservation').
Step 02
Design & Add-On Services
The Vision Takes Shape
What happens:
- Once your flowers are fully preserved, they move into our design queue.
- We create your layout and send design photos for approval.
- This is the best time to request adjustments and discuss optional add-ons.
- If you have ordered color correction, we will ask you to approve the design first, then we move on to color correction. We will send photos of the color correction for a second approval before moving to resin.
Your part (important):
- Please respond to your design approval message within 2 weeks.
- We include complimentary revisions (up to 2 rounds). Additional revisions may extend the timeline.
Optional services that can affect timing:
- Color correction - commonly requested for flowers that naturally shift in drying or for flowers that turn translucent in resin (tropical flowers, orchids, monstera leaves, anthurium, lilies and calla lilies)
- Flower replacement - when a bloom doesn’t preserve as expected, we have a flower library for substitutions and can source new flowers if needed
- Add-ons – either additional items or added services like text personalization, painted edge or color correction)

Step 03
Resin Process (Casting & Curing)
Building the Layers
What happens:
- After design approval, your pieces are queued for resin casting.
- We mix and pour resin in controlled conditions to protect clarity and reduce bubbles.
- Your flowers are set in resin and the pieces cure fully before moving forward.
What you'll hear from us
We’ll send an update when your design is laid in resin.
Step 04
Finishing & Final Photos
Capturing every moment
What happens:
- After curing, your pieces move into finishing.
- This includes sanding, buffing, edge detailing, painting (when applicable), cleaning, and quality checks.
- Once complete, we stage your pieces and take final reveal photos.
Note
This stage can take longer during peak seasons because it is fully hands-on and quality-first.
Step 05
Shipping & Unboxing
Your complete gallery
Your complete gallery is delivered within 4-6 weeks, beautifully edited and ready to share. Every image is color-corrected, retouched, and optimized for both print and digital.
Optional heirloom albums are handcrafted in Italy with archival materials designed to last generations. These aren't just photo books — they're family treasures.
Share your unboxing
We love seeing your finished piece in your home. If you share an unboxing or styling photo/video, tag us and use #wildcoastunboxing.
Overall Timeline
Most orders are completed in approximately 3 to 5 months from arrival to shipment.
Each piece is carefully handmade to order. During peak seasons, processing times may extend. We appreciate your patience as we craft something truly special for you.

We take quality seriously. If anything arrives with damage, a defect, or something that does not look right, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
