Bouquet Preservation Prep Kit

Bouquet Preservation Prep Kit
Your flowers can still become keepsakes you see every day. This kit keeps your bouquet fresh until it reaches our studio, and this page walks you through every step.
Your five steps
The same five steps printed on your card, with everything you need to know.
-
1
Tag it so no one tosses it
Tie the Do Not Throw Away tag onto the bouquet right after the ceremony. Bouquets get cleared away with the centerpieces more often than you would think. Then hand it to one person, like a bridesmaid, your mom or your planner, whose job is to take it home.
-
2
Trim stems, add water and flower food
Snip about an inch off the bottom of the stems with the kit scissors. Stand the bouquet in a vase of cool, clean water and stir in the flower food. Top up the water every day so the stems stay covered.
Boutonnieres and loose buds: fill a floral tube with water, put the cap on and push the stem through the cap. -
3
Keep it cool, out of the sun
Keep the bouquet in an air conditioned room, away from windows and direct sunlight. Never leave it in a parked car. Heat wilts petals fast.
-
4
Place your order on our website
We only accept bouquets that arrive with an order number, so order before you ship. Your order is where you choose your keepsakes and how your bouquet gets to us.

Ship within 5 days of the wedding
Most couples ship the Monday after the wedding. Pack it the way our video shows, send it overnight and send us your tracking number.
Shipping day checklist
Order your keepsakes and your shipping label
Choose what your bouquet becomes and how it gets to us. Every box we receive is matched to its order number, so this always comes before shipping.

Choose a package
Four sets of keepsakes made from your bouquet, starting at $580. Pick one, choose “Ship it to us” and your prepaid overnight label goes on the same order.
- Your label is free when your keepsakes total $1,000 or more
- You approve your design before anything is cast
- Your finished keepsakes ship to you free
Rather pick piece by piece? Shop all keepsakes, then add your shipping label before you check out.

Already ordered? Get your label
Booked at the counter, the same overnight shipment usually costs $300 or more.
In the order notes, add the address you will ship from so your label is not delayed. We email it to you to print.

Your packing checklist
- Take the bouquet out of the water, boutonnieres and buds too, and pat the stems dry.
- Trim off extra stem length and wrap the blooms in dry paper towels. No water, no wet napkins, no plastic bags.
- Use a small, sturdy box. A shoebox works. Fill the gaps so nothing shifts.
- Write your name, order number and phone number on the box or on a note inside.
- Attach your label and drop the box off before the overnight cutoff. Call the location to check the time.
- Send us your tracking number. If it shows delivered and you have not heard from us by the end of the day, give us a call.
Ship Monday to Thursday with the standard label. Shipping on a Friday? Use the Friday label so your box arrives Saturday. Never ship on a weekend or a holiday, when boxes sit in a warehouse.
Shipping on your own? Use FedEx Priority Overnight or UPS overnight with tracking, addressed to Wild Coast Flower Preservation, 2820 NE 4th Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33064.
What happens after it arrives
- The day it arrivesWe open your box, photograph your flowers and email you an update.
- 8 to 12 weeksYour flowers dry slowly in silica gel so they keep their shape and color.
- Your designWe send you design photos. Nothing is cast in resin until you approve.
- About 5 monthsYour finished keepsakes ship to you free, about 5 months from the day your flowers arrive at our studio.
We love everything we received from Wild Coast! We got a frame, clock, ornament, mantel display, cups and letter block, and everything turned out beautiful.

Common questions
Can I ship my bouquet before I order?
No. We only accept flowers that arrive with an order number, so we know whose bouquet is whose the moment the box opens. Order first, then write the number on the box.
What if it has been more than 5 days?
Call or email us before you ship. Tell us your wedding date and how the flowers look, and we will tell you what we can still do with them.
Can I use the prepaid label from anywhere?
Anywhere in the continental US. Shipping from Alaska, Hawaii or outside the US? Email us first and we will help you plan it.
When is the shipping label free?
When you order through our Packages page and your keepsakes total $1,000 or more. It comes off automatically at checkout.
What size box can I use?
The label covers boxes up to 20 x 20 x 10 inches, but smaller is better. A snug box keeps your flowers from shifting.
Will I see my design before it is made?
Always. We send you design photos, and nothing is cast in resin until you say yes.
Planners, florists and venues can join the Wild Coast partner program, and your couples get a discount on their preservation.
